Following great team play and skills display at the just concluded Netball world cup, an event that was hosted in Liverpool, England, the Uganda National Netball Team, also known as The She Cranes have been placed in 7th slot. The latest International Netball Federation (INF) World Rankings placed the team 7th after a series of performances against her opponents.

The rankings indicate that the She Cranes have accumulated a minimum total of 3219 points with a rating of 119.They also rank 3rd in Africa, behind South Africa (5th) and Malawi (6th). Zimbabwe at 12th overall and Zambia at 16th, complete Africa’s top five best countries. Swaziland are no longer a member of INF and are therefore not eligible for a world ranking.
2019 Netball World Cup hosts England moved back into 2nd place in the latest INF World Rankings displacing Jamaica. New Zealand fell to 4th place just behind Jamaica.
The top ten in order are; Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, England, South Africa, Malawi, Uganda, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Trinidad & Tobago. The ranking list relates to senior teams of member countries that are playing regular international test matches.

2019 Netball World Cup Stats
Besides finishing seventh position, statistics show Uganda has done better than at 2015 World Cup in Sydney. Talking offense, in 2015 Uganda scored 396 goals from 466 shots compared to 400 goals from 449 shots in 2019. In defense, Uganda conceded 435 goals compared to 392 in 2019. In 2015, Uganda won three in eight games compared to four in eight in 2019. Uganda’s highest score in 2015 was 74–38 vs Zambia, compared to 69-48 vs Samoa in 2019. In 2015, the biggest loss was New Zealand 76–33, in 2019 it was England 64-32.
