Singer A Pass promises fans full energy and vibration at debut Concert dubbed ”A Pass Live in Concert”
The highly awaited debut concert of renowned Ugandan singer and songwriter Alexander Bagonza alias A Pass is officially set for January 31, 2025, at the prestigious Kampala Serena Hotel. This event marks not only his first solo concert but also a celebration of his ten-year journey in the music industry, promising an exhilarating experience for fans and music lovers across Uganda.
The concert was officially unveiled during a press briefing held on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The event took place at the Kampala Serena Hotel and was hosted by well-known media personality Douglas Lwanga. It drew a crowd of prominent Ugandan artists and entertainers, including the likes of Elijah Kitaka, Beenie Gunter, Gloria Buggie, Bruno K, Ruyonga, and the dynamic dancer Ritah Dancehall, all of whom celebrated the momentous occasion in various capacities.
In a move that reinforces its dedication to supporting the arts and local talent, I&M Bank Uganda was announced as the official banking partner for the event. Raymond Kakuru, the Events and Brands Officer at I&M Bank, expressed the bank’s excitement about this collaboration with A Pass during the launch. He highlighted that this concert aligns seamlessly with the bank’s vision of providing enriching and memorable experiences for its customers.
“With the back-to-school season upon us following the festive period, we recognize the importance of creating opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment,” Kakuru articulated. “This concert is an excellent way for our customers to unwind and immerse themselves in an unforgettable night of live music.” Furthermore, he mentioned the bank’s current loan repayment holiday campaign, which offers customers the flexibility to defer loan payments until February 28, 2025.
I&M Bank’s commitment to endorsing the arts has been showcased through its recent sponsorship of the highly successful “Legend in Gold” concert by renowned artist Jose Chameleone, alongside ongoing collaborations with local talents and events that resonate with the Ugandan populace.

Popular Ugandan Afrobeat artist Ssemanda Manisul alias King Saha has released his highly anticipated single, “Nakyakala,” along with its official music video. The audio track debuted on October 23, 2024, under King’s Love Entertainment, and the vibrant music video premiered on YouTube on January 17, 2025. The announcement of the video’s release was shared across King Saha’s social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram, sparking excitement among fans.
“Nakyakala,” a Luganda word meaning “partying” or “hanging out and having fun with friends,” tells a compelling story of love, fate, and unforeseen twists. In the song, King Saha narrates his encounter with a captivating woman. After expressing his affection and initiating a potential relationship, the woman insists on introducing him to her parents before proceeding further.
However, the story takes an unexpected turn when the woman shows King Saha photos of her parents on her phone. To his surprise, her father is revealed to be an old-time friend with whom he had shared wild partying escapades in the past. Faced with the reality of their shared history, King Saha chooses to step back, acknowledging that the relationship could not continue due to the unlikely possibility of receiving her father’s consent.
